Meet our Cheeky Ambassador Stefan Iannace

16 Jul 2024

Cheeky Grin Coffee is set to host a dazzling, sold out casino soiree to raise lifesaving funds for cancer research through The Hospital Research Foundation Group’s annual cancer fundraiser – The Longest Table.

Aiming to #ForkCancer and surpass last year’s $25,000 effort, Cheeky Grin Coffee owner Stefan Iannace is organising a black-tie affair, promising an event of gourmet dining, live music, casino games and auction excitement – all in support of breast cancer research.

In partnership with BFrank Insurance, the fundraiser holds personal significance for Stefan, as cancer has deeply impacted the lives of many within the Cheeky Grin Coffee community.

“This event is not just a celebration but a commitment to support South Australian families battling cancer,” Stefan said.

“Our goal is to smash last year’s fundraising effort, benefitting The Hospital Research Foundation Group and advancing breast cancer research.”

“We encourage everyone to join us for a night of glamour and goodwill. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the fight against cancer.”

This is the second year Stefan has proudly come on board as an Ambassador for The Longest Table, and he was just as excited to come back on board this year again: “When The Hospital Research Foundation Group invited me to become an ambassador, I felt a deep connection to the cause, as cancer has sadly touched my family in many ways.”

“I felt a strong sense of social responsibility to give back. Plus it’s a fantastic bonus that we get to throw a big party for our customers!”

This was the same attitude Stefan had back in 2020 throughout COVID. With his business starting the same year, like everyone he was left thinking ‘what now’ when everything shut down.

“The streets were quiet and gloomy, so I took the initiative to bring back a little life by opening a makeshift coffee spot in my family shed to serve the local community,” Stefan said.

“Word quickly spread and I even made a promise on national TV that I would one day soon run a coffee shop that would be devoted to giving back to the community and I’m proud to say I’ve kept my promise and I’m giving back by raising funds for a cause that affects too many of our loved ones.”
